Livax Vietnam Co., Ltd. is the manufacturing company of the BABA KAGU Group in Vietnam. Established in Hai Phong in 2005, the company manufactures BABAKAGU products for international markets, as well as selected products for other BABA KAGU Group brands and OEM partners.
History of BABA KAGU and BABAKAGU
FROM 1929, PATH THROUGH THREE GENERATIONS
- 1929 Founded “Baba Kagu Seisakusho Mr. Sadayoshi Baba - the grandfather of Mr.Makihiko Baba, the present president, started manufacturing furniture in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan.
- 1963 Starting manufacturing sofa.
- 1968 Open Hamakawa factory One of the biggest sofa specialized factory in Japan
- 1971 Changed the firm name to “Baba kagu Co.,ltd’.
- 1985 Launching of International Brand“ Interlivax”
- 1988 Open Shanghai Factory Established Shanghai Yoma Furniture Co.,ltd.
- 2005 Open Vietnam Factory LIVAX VIETNAM in Hai Phong City, Vietnam
- 2013 Frist apperance at VIFA in HCMC, Vietnam The 1st furniture company from Japan exhibited VIFA

- 2017 The BABAKAGU name was introduced in overseas markets.
- Today BABAKAGU is a sofa brand originating in Takasaki, Gunma, Japan, and is developed for both the Japanese and international markets. For international markets, BABAKAGU collections are developed to meet the needs of each market and are manufactured mainly by Livax Vietnam, a manufacturing company of the BABA KAGU Group.
